Redfin Says Summer 2025 was the Strongest Buyer’s Market in Over a Decade

Now that Fall is finally here, the numbers are rolling in. Recent MLS data analysed by Redfin says there were an estimated 35.2% more home sellers than buyers in the U.S. housing market in August. In addition, they say June 2025 was the only month in records dating back to 2013 when sellers outnumbered buyers by a greater percentage (36.3%). They say this past summer was the strongest buyer’s market on record. Indeed… Some key points:
